M. M. Hassan is a leader of Indian National Congress and a former Minister in the Government of Kerala.[1]
He was born on 14 May 1947 in Thiruvananthapuram. He came to active politics through Kerala Students Union (KSU) and became the State president of KSU. He was the elected as the Senate Member and Chairman of Kerala University Union. He was elected from Kazhakootam constituency to Kerala Legislative Assembly in 1980 and 1982 elections, and re-elected from Trivandrum West in 1987 and 1991 General Elections. In 2001, he represented Kayamkulam constituency to the Kerala Legislative Assembly and served as The Minister for Information and Parliamentary Affairs in the Ministry headed by A. K. Antony during 2001 – 2004.[1] He was also holding the additional charge of The Minister for Non-Resident Keralites' Affairs in the Kerala Legislative Assembly.[2]
